The Lookout

The Lookout is a 2-bedroom cottage spread across three floors in central Penzance, sleeping 4 with 1 bathroom. The stacked layout and elevated position give views towards Mount's Bay from the upper floors - a feature that most terraced cottages at this price point in the town don't offer.

Inside, the cottage is set up practically for 4: two bedrooms, one bathroom, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Wi-Fi and off-road parking are included. The three-floor arrangement means there's a natural separation between sleeping and living areas, which works well for two couples or a couple with older children.

Eastern Green Beach is around 900 metres east along the seafront - a flat, south-facing sandy beach with calm water, good for families. Penzance town centre is walkable in under 10 minutes: the Art Deco Jubilee Pool lido, Chapel Street's independent shops and the harbour are all on foot. Newlyn - England's largest fishing port and the source of much of the town's restaurant fish - is a 10-minute walk south. The Scillonian ferry for the Isles of Scilly departs from Penzance harbour seasonally, and St Michael's Mount is 3 miles east at Marazion.

Best for: couples or small families who want a town-centre base with easy walking access to Penzance's seafront, harbour, and restaurants, without needing a car for day-to-day movement. Less good for: anyone expecting a countryside or coastal-views setting - this is a terrace in a residential street, and the sea views are from the upper floors only. Not suitable for dogs or guests with mobility requirements.
