The Net Loft

The Net Loft is a stone-built 3-bedroom cottage in Mousehole, sleeping 4 with 1 bathroom and gardens that look toward the village and harbour. The property sits on North Cliff, roughly 100 metres on foot from the beach and harbour wall, in one of the most tightly-knit fishing villages on the west Cornwall coast.

Inside, the layout across three bedrooms means two couples or a family with children can spread out without tripping over each other, even with a single bathroom. The cottage has accessible features for guests with mobility needs. Practicalities are covered: Wi-Fi, parking nearby, dishwasher, and washing machine included. Friday changeovers.

Mousehole (pronounced "Mowzul") wraps around a granite harbour protected by a 14th-century breakwater. The harbour dries at low tide - an odd sight if you haven't seen it before. The village has a handful of restaurants and the Rock Pool cafe on the harbour wall. Each December the Tom Bawcock's Eve festival draws visitors for the harbour light display and the famous stargazy pie at the Ship Inn. Lamorna Cove is about 3 miles west along the South West Coast Path. Newlyn's fish market is 1.5 miles east, and Penzance has a full range of shops 3 miles further along the coast.

**Best for:** Two couples or a small family who want a proper village base in west Cornwall rather than a resort beach - Mousehole rewards slow stays, evening walks to the quay, and day trips out to Penzance, Lamorna Cove, or the Minack Theatre.

**Less good for:** Those needing a sea view, a hot tub, or easy surf access - the nearest surf is at Sennen Cove, around 20 miles south-west.
