The Old Barn

The Old Barn is a two-bedroom barn conversion near Penzance, sleeping four across a ground and lower-ground floor, with two bathrooms. The open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area is on the ground floor, and the two bedrooms are on the lower ground floor, each with stable doors to a patio. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking.

If you need a particular double or twin arrangement, ask the provider before you book. WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included, and the decked terrace gives outdoor space. Parking is provided, but dogs are not accepted. Changeover day is Saturday.

The nearest beach is about 3 miles away. Gwynver Beach is a wide surf beach that sees fewer visitors than Sennen Cove next door, which has a working harbour and two surf schools operating from the sand. Penberth Cove is a similar drive. The barn sits near St Buryan, a hilltop village roughly equidistant between Penzance and Land's End, with the Merry Maidens stone circle about a mile south of the village.

**Best for:** A family or two couples wanting two bathrooms, off-road parking for two cars and beaches about 3 miles away.

**Less good for:** Dog owners, guests who need step-free access, or anyone wanting a specific bed configuration guaranteed in advance.
