The Oyster

The Oyster is a three-bedroom, first-floor duplex apartment in St Ives, sleeping six guests across two floors with three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite: a king-size with an en-suite shower, and a ground-floor king-size with an en-suite bath. The twin bedroom uses the family bathroom.

Access to the apartment is via fifteen steps to the front door, and the layout spans two floors. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and parking are all included, which is worth noting in a harbour town where off-street parking is scarce. A washer/dryer is included. Changeover runs on a Saturday.

St Ives itself has four beaches within easy reach. Porthminster Beach, with its café and lifeguard cover in peak season, is 0.3 miles away. St Ives Harbour Beach is 0.4 miles from the duplex, and Porthmeor Beach, home to the Tate St Ives gallery, is 0.6 miles. **Best for:** two couples plus a pair of friends or children, or a family wanting two en-suite bedrooms, included parking and a short walk to Porthminster. **Less good for:** dog owners, or visitors who need step-free access, since there are fifteen steps to the front door.
