The Penthouse

Gallinas Point sits above St Ives, and The Penthouse takes the top of it: a duplex apartment for six with an enclosed, south-facing balcony looking across St Ives Bay. The top-floor sitting area has roof and floor-to-ceiling windows, and the king bedroom, with its en-suite shower, is up here too.

Below, the open-plan kitchen and dining area opens onto the balcony, and an oak table seats six. The other two bedrooms, a double and a twin with its own en-suite shower, share the lower floor with a family bathroom that has a bath and a shower over it. A utility cupboard in the hallway houses a washer/dryer, and the kitchen also has a dishwasher and coffee machine.

Parking is a single off-road space behind a barrier. The shop is 0.3 miles away, the pub 0.1 miles and the beach 0.2 miles. Gas central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are all included, and there is WiFi and Sky TV including sports and movies. A cot and highchair are provided; guests bring their own cot bedding.

The bedrooms are split across two floors linked by stairs, and no pets or smoking are allowed. It suits a family or a group of up to six who want sea views and a short walk into town; the block has stairs and a lift, but the lift should not be relied on alone as it can be out of service.
