The Round Retreat

The Round Retreat is a converted barn for eight on a working farm near St Issey, a village about 2 miles south of Padstow above the Camel Estuary. Two bedrooms have king-size beds, one is a fixed twin, and a super-king zip-and-link room can become a second twin on request. Four bathrooms match the four bedrooms, giving each pair of guests direct bathroom access.

A wood burner sits within the living space, and far-reaching rural views stretch across the surrounding farmland. Children can explore a shared two-acre garden and wooden play area. The barn also has Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher, washing machine and a barbecue. There is no hot tub, pool or sea view, and dogs are not accepted, so this suits a family group happy to drive to the coast rather than one wanting beachfront amenities on site.

Padstow's harbour, restaurants and the start of the Camel Trail are a short drive or cycle north. Daymer Bay is 4.5 miles away, Trevone Bay is 4.7 miles and Greenaway Beach is 5 miles, all requiring a car rather than a walk from the farm.
