The Shack

The Shack is a single-storey 3-bedroom cottage in Mawgan Porth, sleeping 5 across three bedrooms with 1 bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor, though the merchant notes the property is not suitable for wheelchairs. Mawgan Porth beach is 200 metres away - a wide, north-facing sandy bay with RNLI lifeguard cover in summer and consistent surf.

Inside, the cottage includes wifi, parking, and a washing machine. The cottage has Sky TV and a highchair, and a pub and shop are within a mile. The garden is a practical plus for dogs and younger guests. Changeover day is Saturday. Dogs are welcome. Three bedrooms share one bathroom.

From the door, the South West Coast Path heads north to Bedruthan Steps - the famous line of sea stacks about 2 miles up the cliff - or south to Watergate Bay, roughly 1.9 miles along. Newquay Airport is around 5 miles south, and Padstow is about 10 miles north-east along the coast road.

Best for: families or groups, dog owners wanting a base within easy walking distance of the beach, visitors who want coast path access in both directions from the door. Less good for: couples wanting a romantic retreat (it's a practical family property).
