The Stable

The Stable is a converted single-bedroom cottage at Little Trevean near Rosudgeon, sleeping 2 in a double bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower. Set on a working smallholding between Penzance and Helston, the property has a private enclosed garden with a gas barbecue, off-road parking, a dishwasher, washing machine, and Wi-Fi. Dogs are welcome.

Ground-floor living throughout makes moving between the cottage and the garden easy, and guests have access to a communal games field on site. The rural setting is quiet, with Cornish hedge lanes running towards the coast a short drive away.

Perranuthnoe Beach - a sandy, lifeguarded stretch with a seasonal cafe and views across Mount's Bay towards St Michael's Mount - is about 0.7 miles south. Prussia Cove, a series of rocky coves linked to 18th-century smuggling history, is also within 1 mile by footpath. Marazion and the Mount's Bay shoreline are roughly 3 miles west along the coast road. The Falmouth Packet pub in Rosudgeon village is within walking distance, and the A394 gives straightforward access to Helston's supermarkets around 6 miles east.

Best for: couples wanting a quiet rural retreat close to west Cornwall's south coast beaches, with dog-friendly access and a garden for warmer evenings. Less good for: guests who need more than one bedroom or prefer a coastal-village setting rather than a working farm lane.
