The Water House

The Water House is a four-bedroom house in Falmouth, sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms with four bathrooms. Located on Penwerris Terrace, it sits within walking distance of Falmouth's town centre and harbour. There are three steps up to the front door. Children under 8 are not allowed.

The house has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Inside there is a wood-burning stove in the sitting room, Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The garden includes a BBQ. The house runs over three floors, with one super-king bedroom and en-suite shower on the ground floor, and the rear garden is a multi-level terrace with stone steps, reached from the adjacent street at the back. Private parking is provided for two medium-sized cars. No pets. Changeover is Friday.

Falmouth is one of Cornwall's most complete town bases for a large-group holiday. The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is on the waterfront. Gyllyngvase Beach - a wide, south-facing sandy beach with a beach cafe - is about 1.8 miles from the property. Castle Beach and Swanpool Beach lie along the same stretch of coast. Pendennis Castle, the Tudor fort at the tip of the headland, is a short drive from the house. The River Fal ferry links Falmouth to St Mawes and the Roseland in around 20 minutes.

Best for: groups of up to eight who want a town-centre Falmouth base with easy access to restaurants, beaches, and the harbour. Less suited to those wanting rural quiet, or guests travelling with pets.
