Outside, private parking comes with the apartment, which matters in central Penzance where most visitor cars must find space on the promenade or in paid car parks. Penzance harbour is under a five-minute walk, and the 1.5-mile level promenade runs around to Newlyn's working fish market, continuing to Mousehole village.

Penzance works as a base for west Cornwall: daily ferries to the Isles of Scilly, the art deco Jubilee Pool lido on the promenade, St Michael's Mount across the bay, and the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno a short drive west.
