Readymoney Cove - a sheltered sandy beach below Henry VIII's St Catherine's Castle - is 2.2 miles by road. Lantic Bay, a National Trust cove reached by cliff path, is 2.9 miles.

Best for: parties needing a fully accessible single-storey layout with easy access to Fowey's restaurants and the estuary. Less good for: families wanting direct beach access (the nearest sandy beaches require a short drive) or guests wanting a seaside rather than a riverside setting.
