Treganoon House, Lanlivery

Treganoon House is a Victorian farmhouse bed and breakfast outside Lanlivery, once the largest farm in the parish and now a family home after twelve years of renovation. Family Marsh hosts the four guest rooms, which include a family double with bunk beds and three further doubles, one with a private bathroom. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out by 10:00, and the nearest beach, Carlyon Bay, is about 4.3 miles away.

Breakfast covers continental, full English, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, plus a breakfast-to-go for early starts. A wood burner and garden sit alongside free WiFi and on-site parking. Guests can walk two fields planted with saplings, where Barn Owls, sparrowhawks, deer and the occasional badger are seen, with picnic seating in the fields and back garden.

Restormel Castle is 3.7 miles away and the Eden Project 5 miles, both reachable via the narrow Cornish lanes around the farm. The house looks out to the granite tor of Helman Tor, on the edge of the wooded Luxulyan Valley, halfway between Luxulyan and Lanlivery villages.

Best for guests wanting a quiet countryside base with breakfast covering every diet. Less good for a single large group, since the four rooms are let separately rather than as one house.
