Tremill Lodge

Tremill Lodge is a single-storey semi-detached lodge just outside the centre of Wadebridge, built as an annexe beside a larger bungalow. It sleeps 2 in 1 double bedroom, with a kitchen/diner and a sheltered private patio. The layout is all on one floor. Washing machine and garden included.

The Camel Trail cycle path runs directly through Wadebridge, connecting Padstow (roughly 6.2 miles west) with Bodmin (roughly 6.2 miles east) on a traffic-free route along the Camel Estuary. The estuary is part of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the route is one of the most used in the South West. Bikes can be hired in town.

Daymer Bay beach, a sheltered sandy cove at the mouth of the Camel Estuary, is 4.9 miles by road. Greenaway Beach is 5.2 miles and Port Gaverne is 5.4 miles. Rock and Polzeath are accessible by road in under 20 minutes. Wadebridge itself has a supermarket, weekly farmers' market, and several independent restaurants.

Dogs are not accepted. Parking is on site. Breakfast cafes and a Tesco are within easy walking distance from the lodge. The washing machine is inside the lodge and towels and linen are provided.

This is a good base for cyclists or couples wanting a quiet out-of-town base near the Camel Estuary. Not great for dog owners, groups needing more than 1 bedroom, or those wanting to walk directly to a beach.
