Trewella

Trewella is a four-bedroom house for eight on Daymer Lane, close to Daymer Bay. Two bedrooms have king-size beds and the other two are twins that can be made up as king-size on request, so the layout adapts to whoever's staying. Three bathrooms serve the group.

The private garden holds a barbecue, and a wood burner gives the living room a focal point through cooler evenings. WiFi and parking are included, and one dog can stay, though there's no dishwasher or washing machine, worth factoring into a longer stay.

Daymer Bay is 0.2 miles from the door, one of the safest swimming beaches in north Cornwall thanks to its sheltered, shallow water. Greenaway Beach is 0.4 miles away and Polzeath is a mile further, giving a choice of three beaches without needing the car. The church of St Enodoc, where John Betjeman is buried, sits among the dunes between Daymer Bay and Rock, reachable on foot from the beach car park.
