Waves

Waves is a two-bedroom apartment in the Carbis Beach Apartments block, in a position directly above the beach at Carbis Bay, 0.1 miles away. French doors from the sitting area and from the king bedroom open onto a seaward-facing terrace, and the view takes in St Ives across the bay.

The king bedroom has an en-suite bath with a shower over and twin basins. The twin room sits at the rear next to the family shower room. The open-plan living space has a dining table with six chairs, and the kitchen at the back has a double oven, a gas hob, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. TVs come with Sky Q, Sky Sports and Netflix in the lounge, and a PS4 is provided.

Access from the parking area is down two levels to the apartment, and a note says the lift should not be relied on alone, since the stairs are the fallback if it is out of order. There is one allocated parking space within security gates. The shop is 0.5 miles away and the pub 0.9 miles. A cot and highchair are provided, with guests bringing cot bedding, and the rent includes fuel, power, bed linen and towels.

It suits a couple or a small family of up to four who like a beach on the doorstep. Pets and smoking are not allowed, and the level changes between car and front door make it less good for anyone who finds stairs difficult.
