Whalebone Cottage

Whalebone Cottage is a three-storey house in the middle of Mevagissey, and the shop, pub and beach are each 0.1 miles away. Its layout is stacked: the double bedroom and its en-suite walk-in shower are on the ground floor, the sitting room is on the first floor, and the twin and a single bedroom sit on the upper floors.

It sleeps five. A second shower room, also with a walk-in shower, serves the twin and the single. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, and there is a TV and WiFi. Central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included.

The enclosed first-floor terrace has furniture and is the cottage's outdoor space. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Smoking is not allowed. There is no car parking at the cottage, although several paid car parks are in town, so plan for that when travelling with luggage or pets.

Mevagissey has a working harbour and a museum. St Austell, 5.5 miles away, is the nearest town for the Eden Project, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Charlestown harbour are also within reach. Truro is 16 miles.

The cottage suits a family or friends of up to five who are happy with stairs, and it is less good for anyone who wants to avoid them or to park at the door.
