Yardarm Cottage

Yardarm Cottage is a three-bedroom property at the centre of Fowey sleeping six across two king-size and one twin bedroom, with open-plan living areas and river and harbour views. The kitchen and sitting room are designed around the view - the estuary and the opposite bank at Polruan visible on clear days from both floors.

The lawned garden at the rear is rare in central Fowey, where most properties are terraced without any outdoor space. A BBQ and terrace sit alongside it, making this a reasonable option for groups who want to eat outdoors in summer. The Polruan foot ferry leaves from the quay less than 5 minutes on foot, connecting to the South West Coast Path's eastern section toward Polperro. Readymoney Cove beach - a small shingle and sand cove sheltered by the estuary mouth - is 0.7 miles on foot.

Inside, the layout suits two couples or a family. Two king-size rooms on upper floors take the better harbour views; the twin is on the ground floor. A dishwasher and a washer/dryer are available and WiFi is included. Parking is private. Dogs are not accepted. The town centre pubs, seafood restaurants, and the passenger ferry to Polruan are all accessible without a car.

This cottage is ideal for groups who want to be in the heart of Fowey rather than on the edge - within reach of the ferry, the estuary walks, and the town's restaurants. Less suited to guests who need a quiet rural setting or a large utility setup. Lantic Bay beach is 1.3 miles for a longer walk out of town.
