Helston Flora Day is confirmed for Saturday 8 May 2027. The association’s future-dates page applies its annual rule of 8 May, moving the celebration to the preceding Saturday only when that date falls on a Sunday or Monday.
The official schedule begins with the Early Morning Dance at 7am. Hal-an-Tow starts at St John’s Bridge at 8:30am, followed by the Children’s Dance at 9:50am, Midday Dance at noon and Evening Dance at 5pm. Each procession follows its own route through streets, selected premises and gardens.
Visitor information
Date: Saturday 8 May 2027.
Admission: Free to watch. The stewards state that they make no charge to the public for any aspect of Flora Day. An optional official guidebook is sold separately.
Venue: Streets and spaces across Helston town centre. The official route page, not one fixed pin, is the useful planning reference.
Safety: The organiser warns that the Guildhall area can become congested, surfaces may be uneven and children or vulnerable adults need close supervision. Visitors should obey stewards and keep space clear for dancers and Helston Town Band.
Travel: The organiser’s current visitor page describes town-centre road closures, temporary bus stops and added parking. Those arrangements should be checked again close to the 2027 event in case operational details change.
