Bolitho's Retreat

Bolitho's Retreat is a 1-bedroom accessible cottage in St Martin, near Mawgan in Meneage and the Helford River, sleeping 2 across 1 bathroom. The ground-floor layout includes step-free access, and the enclosed patio garden to the rear is private. Dogs are welcome.

WiFi, parking, and washing machine are included. There is no dishwasher or hot tub.

Helford Passage Beach is 2.5 miles south - a small, sheltered beach on the north bank of the Helford River with a ferry crossing to Helford village on the far side. The wooded creeks around the Helford are navigable by kayak, with hire available locally in season. Trebah Garden is a short drive from the cottage, a 26-acre sub-tropical valley garden running down to a private beach on the river. Glendurgan, another National Trust garden, is close by.

Falmouth town is around 20 minutes by car north, with a range of restaurants, galleries, and the National Maritime Museum. The Lizard is accessible south from St Martin, with Lizard Point - the most southerly tip of mainland Britain - around 30 minutes by road.

Ideal for a couple who want accessible facilities in a rural riverside setting, with good access to the Helford River and the south Falmouth coastline. Friday changeover.
