The Penrose Estate, managed by the National Trust and home to Loe Pool - Cornwall's largest natural freshwater lake - borders the property directly.

Inside, the ground floor opens into a lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The lounge has a wood burner and Smart TV; the kitchen is stocked with an air fryer, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee machine, with a solid-wood table seating the group. Three upstairs bedrooms - a king-size, a double, and a single - all have room-darkening blinds. The first-floor bathroom adds a shower over the bath, with a separate ground-floor shower room off the kitchen.

**Best for:** Walkers, families wanting a quiet base for the Lizard and west Cornwall. **Less good for:** Those without a car - this is genuinely rural. Also no hot tub or pool on-site.
