The Penrose Estate, managed by the National Trust and home to Loe Pool - Cornwall's largest natural freshwater lake - borders the property directly.

Inside, the ground floor opens into a lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The lounge has a wood burner and Smart TV; the kitchen is stocked with an air fryer, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee machine, with a solid-wood table seating the group. Three upstairs bedrooms - a king-size, a double, and a single - all have room-darkening blinds. The first-floor bathroom adds a shower over the bath, with a separate ground-floor shower room off the kitchen.

Outside, an enclosed front patio holds garden furniture and a BBQ. A gated driveway provides private parking for two cars, with EV charging on-site. Porthleven Beach is about 3 miles away - a surf-friendly south-coast break with harbour restaurants. Praa Sands, a long sandy stretch popular for swimming, is roughly 4 miles south-west.

Helston town centre is 3.5 miles away, with the Blue Anchor (Cornwall's oldest brewpub) and the Museum of Cornish Life both on Coinagehall Street. Falmouth and St Ives are each within a 30-minute drive.

**Best for:** Walkers, dog owners (one dog welcome), families wanting a quiet base for the Lizard and west Cornwall. **Less good for:** Those without a car - this is genuinely rural. Also no hot tub or pool on-site.
