Polgwedhen Lodge

Rustic and secluded, this lodge is set beside a private country lake and is the only lodge on the property, so you have the lake entirely to yourselves. There is a farm house nearby but it does not overlook the lodge so you really can relax in your own private lake view lodge. Free wifi and free parking are included so you are not totally in the wilderness. The lodge has a kitchen with oven and microwave and fridge and a separate bedroom with en-suite. Although secluded the beauty of this lodge is that you are only 4 miles away from the city of Truro which is the capital of Cornwall and you are also only 5 minutes away from St Agnes, where Trevaunance Cove beach is about 5.2 miles from the lodge. Right on your doorstep you have hiking, cycling, fishing, beach and water sports of all descriptions as well as a city not too far with a huge variety of restaurants and bars as well a whole host of take away restaurants for you to enjoy in your own private lake side lodge, or stock up at the Tesco store and have your own BBQ using the BBQ facilities on site.

Best for couples wanting total seclusion, with the lake and garden to themselves and dogs welcome. Less good for larger groups, since the lodge has just one bedroom and one en-suite bathroom.
