Brambleside Lodge

A detached studio lodge in Buckshead on the outskirts of Truro, sleeping two in a king-size bed with an open-plan kitchen and living area. Air conditioning throughout is an unusual feature for Cornwall self-catering.

The single-storey layout keeps everything on one level: kitchen, dining, sitting, and sleeping all in one connected space. A dedicated bathroom sits off the main room. Wifi and off-road parking are included. The lodge is adults only - no pets and no children are permitted, which keeps the setting quiet and calm year-round.

Outside, a decked patio with sun loungers opens onto an enclosed garden. Truro city centre is 2 miles, with the Gothic Revival cathedral completed in 1910, the Hall for Cornwall performance venue, and independent shops along Lemon Street. Falmouth is 12 miles southwest. Pendower Beach on the Roseland is 6.4 miles - a sheltered south-facing bay with calm water and no lifeguards, good for a quiet swim. Carne Beach is 6.6 miles away and Perranporth Beach is 7.1 miles away.

Best for couples or solo travellers who want a quiet, low-maintenance base close to Cornwall's only city. Less suited to anyone expecting the coast on the doorstep - the nearest beaches are a 15-minute drive.
