17 Valley Lodges

A 3-bedroom lodge at Honicombe Manor Resort near Gunnislake, directly opposite the on-site swimming pool and clubhouse. The resort sits in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, about 3 miles from the market town of Callington. The lodge has reverse-level accommodation, with bedrooms on the ground floor and living space above to take advantage of the views.

The upper floor holds the kitchen and an open-plan living and dining room, with a balcony overlooking the surrounding trees and countryside. Downstairs, the master bedroom has a super-king-size bed with direct access to a veranda and a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a deep soaking tub and overhead shower. Two twin bedrooms and a separate shower room complete the ground floor. The lodge sleeps 6 across 3 bathrooms.

On-site facilities include both indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, and tennis courts. A veranda off the master bedroom provides a private outdoor area. Parking is on site. The nearest beaches - Whitsand Bay (19.2 km), Downderry Beach (19.3 km), and Kingsand Beach (20.1 km) - are on the Rame Peninsula, roughly a 30-minute drive south.

Gunnislake village has a pub and basic shops, with Callington 3 miles away for wider services. The Tamar Valley Line railway connects the village to Plymouth via a route along the Tamar estuary. Cotehele, a National Trust manor, is about 6 miles south. Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor are both within easy driving distance.
