2 Streamside

2 Streamside is a single-storey lodge beside a stream on a park with lakes, near the village of Lanreath. Parking for one car is on a steep driveway next to the lodge, and there are steps up to the entrance, lit by solar lights that also cover the path and hot tub area.

The open-plan living space has a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove and a Smart TV. The kitchen has a dishwasher, a washer/dryer and a microwave. The king-size bedroom has a TV and an en-suite walk-in shower, there is a twin room, and a second shower room has a heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels, two bathrobes and toiletries are included, plus fuel and power.

The decking is enclosed and gated, with furniture and a hot tub. The lake is 0.2 miles away, the pub 1.9 miles and the shop 2 miles. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome and must stay on a lead on site. Children must be supervised at all times because of the lakes and open water. Barbecues may not be brought, electric vehicles cannot be charged, arrivals cannot be on a Sunday, and a good housekeeping bond applies. A highchair and travel cot can be hired.

The lodge suits two couples or a family with dogs. It is less good for anyone who finds steps hard, as the parking is up a steep drive and steps lead to the lodge.
