2 Water's Edge

Lake views set the tone at 2 Water’s Edge, a lodge in the grounds of Stonerush Lakes at Lanreath. It is all on the ground floor and sleeps four. The double bedroom has an en suite with shower, basin and WC; the second room is a twin, and the family bathroom has a bath with a shower over.

Kitchen, dining area and living space share one open-plan room with a log burner and gas central heating. Fuel and power are included in the rent. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and the lodge has a 32-inch Smart TV. Bed linen, towels, two bathrobes and toiletries are supplied, and you can hire a travel cot (no mattress) and a highchair. There is no Wi-Fi in the lodge itself; it is available in the Old Mill Bar & Restaurant, which is a five-minute walk.

The private terrace is enclosed and gated, with a hot tub, table and chairs, and the hot tub looks over the lake. Since the lodge has raised balconies and there are lakes and open water on site, children must be supervised at all times. Barbecues cannot be brought to the site, and electric vehicle charging is not permitted. The nearest shop is 4 miles away, and there is space for one car off the road.

Two well behaved dogs are welcome, on a lead at all times on site. The layout suits two couples or a family with dogs. Guests who want a connected stay may find it less good for working online, as Wi-Fi is limited to the bar. Check-in is 4pm and check-out 10am; smoking is not allowed and Sunday arrivals are not permitted.
