3 Lake View

3 Lake View is a single-storey lodge on a holiday park in Lanreath, surrounded by lakes and woodland. The feature that sets it apart is the enclosed, gated rear terrace, which has decking, outdoor furniture and a private hot tub. French doors open onto it from the open-plan living area, where the kitchen, dining area and sitting area share one room with floor-to-ceiling windows.

There are two bedrooms: a double with its own TV and a twin. The family bathroom has a bath with a shower over and a heated towel rail, while a separate shower room has a walk-in shower and holds the washing machine. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Gas central heating, fuel and power, bed linen, towels, two bathrobes and travel-size toiletries are all included, and a travel cot (without mattress) and highchair can be requested.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, and it has to stay on a lead at all times on the park. Smoking is not allowed and barbecues cannot be brought to the site. Because of the lakes and open water, children must be supervised at all times. Parking is off-road for one car, and charging an electric vehicle is not permitted. Check-in is from 4pm, check-out is by 10am, and Sunday arrivals are not permitted.

The Old Mill Bar & Restaurant is on the park. The nearest shop is 2 miles away and the nearest pub 3.5 miles. Looe, Polperro and Fowey are each a short drive. The lodge suits a couple or a small family, and is less good for a party of five or more, since it sleeps four.
