59 Valley Lodge

59 Valley Lodge is a reverse-level lodge in the grounds of Honicombe Manor holiday resort, 2.3 miles from Gunnislake and in the Callington area. The four bedrooms are on the ground floor: a king-size, a twin and two singles. It sleeps six, and the limit of six guests includes infants. Also on the ground floor are a shower room and a bathroom with bath and shower over.

Living space is on the first floor, where the kitchen, dining area and sitting area share one open-plan room with patio doors to a balcony. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, washer/dryer and dishwasher, and there is a TV with Freeview, a DVD player and WiFi. Electricity is included in the rent, along with bed linen and towels. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available. A private patio has a hot tub, and there is off-road parking.

The property is reached by 23 steps and may not suit anyone less mobile. Two well-behaved pets are welcome, and smoking is not allowed. Stag and hen parties are refused, and worker or business bookings are not allowed. During peak season only week-long bookings are taken. The resort has an indoor pool all year and outdoor pools from May to September, plus a mini-gym, games room, tennis courts and a bar and restaurant.

The bedrooms suit a family of up to six, but the steps make it less good for toddlers and for guests with mobility difficulties.
