Dart Lodge

Dart Lodge is a reverse-level cottage on the Honicombe Holiday Village in Callington, east Cornwall, with access to both indoor and outdoor heated pools. The lodge sleeps 6 and welcomes dogs.

All three bedrooms sit on the ground floor - a super-king with en-suite walk-in shower plus two twins, each with its own TV. A separate shower room serves the twins. The first-floor open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining, and sitting areas, with a balcony looking out over the surrounding countryside. The kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher.

Outside, an upper patio seats 6 with table and chairs, while a lower patio sits beside a stream. Off-road parking fits 2 cars. Guests share the on-site leisure club facilities at Honicombe Park - indoor heated pool year-round, outdoor pool from May to September, sauna, mini gym, tennis courts, and a games room. A pub and shop sit on-site, both within a 2-minute walk.

Callington lies at the foot of Kit Hill (334 metres), where walking trails cross open heathland with views to Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Whitsand Bay, a 4-mile stretch of golden sand popular with surfers, is 11.9 miles away. Downderry Beach, a south-facing mix of sand and shingle, is 12 miles. The River Tamar runs roughly 2 miles from the lodge.

**Best for:** dog owners and families wanting leisure facilities on site, given the dog-friendly policy and the indoor/outdoor pools, sauna, tennis courts and games room shared at Honicombe Park. **Less good for:** guests wanting to be close to the coast, since the nearest beach, Whitsand Bay, is almost 12 miles away.
