9 Slipway Cottages is a four-bedroom property in Rock, spreading across three floors and sleeping eight. The village sits on the east bank of the Camel Estuary, directly opposite Padstow, connected by a water taxi that runs every 20 minutes through the day.

The ground floor holds a king-size bedroom with en-suite walk-in shower and a separate double room, while the upper floors have a single and a family room with bunk and single bed. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over. Open-plan kitchen-living space contains a full range of equipment - oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. An outdoor shower sits beside the property, useful for rinsing off after the beach. Parking for two cars is at the rear, and a pub is 100 metres away.

A balcony with garden furniture overlooks the surroundings, and a decked front terrace adds further outdoor space. Daymer Bay beach is about 1.2 miles south - sheltered, sandy, and calm enough for young children, with year-round dog access. Polzeath's surf break is 2.2 miles north, with multiple hire schools at the beach. The water taxi to Padstow gives access to Rick Stein's restaurants and the harbour market without needing to drive.

Best for: groups of 8 wanting a proper base in Rock with space across three floors and the Padstow water taxi on the doorstep. Less good for: those needing dog-friendly accommodation or a pool on site.
