Agar Cottage

Agar Cottage is a semi-detached three-bedroom cottage in Trelights, a small village on the high ground above Port Isaac. It sleeps 6 with 2 bathrooms. The cottage has accessible features, making it one of the more practical options on the north Cornwall coast for guests with mobility requirements. Dogs are welcome.

An open fire and BBQ serve different ends of the calendar - the fire for damp shoulder-season evenings, the BBQ for summer. The enclosed garden gives dogs a secure outdoor space. WiFi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine are all included. Port Gaverne beach is 1.2 miles - a small, sheltered cove east of Port Isaac with calmer water than the open beaches nearby.

Trelights sits roughly half a mile inland from the harbour. The walk down to Port Isaac takes around 10 minutes on foot through lanes. The village has restaurants, a fish shop, and the Platt - an open square on the foreshore where the Fisherman's Friends perform in summer. Port Isaac's harbour is narrow and the lanes are steep; arriving by car at busy times requires patience.

Suits families or mixed groups wanting an accessible north Cornwall base with a proper garden and dog-friendly setup. Works well for guests who want to use Port Isaac as a base but prefer quieter village accommodation over the harbour itself. Polzeath is 10 minutes by car for surf. From £737 per week with Friday changeover.
