Orchard Cottage

Orchard Cottage is a converted stone barn in Trelights, a hamlet set on the hill above Port Isaac. The cottage sleeps 6 across 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, and includes a games room and a garden. Dogs are not accepted.

Inside, there is wi-fi and a washing machine. Changeover day is Saturday. Port Gaverne Beach is 1.3 miles, a sheltered cove at the bottom of a short valley road. Polzeath beach is 3.4 miles, better for surf. Daymer Bay Beach is also within 4 miles, just along the coast from Polzeath.

Port Isaac harbour is roughly half a mile downhill on foot. The village has a fish and chip shop, several pubs, and a small working harbour. The Long Cross Hotel in Trelights has a Victorian walled garden open to visitors during the season. The coast path north from Port Isaac runs to The Rumps headland, about 5 miles return. Port Isaac village is the closest base for restaurants and supplies.

Best for families or groups of up to six who are happy without a car on site and want easy access to the north Cornwall coast path. Less good for those who need to drive regularly - the parking situation makes it genuinely inconvenient.
