Polzeath Beach is 500 metres away - a wide Atlantic-facing surf beach with a consistent swell, popular with families and learner surfers. Greenaway Beach, a quieter horseshoe cove, is 1.3km east. Daymer Bay, sheltered and dog-friendly year-round, is 1.7km south across the dunes. Rock village, with its sailing club and a handful of restaurants, is two miles along the Camel Estuary.

Best for two families or a group of eight wanting genuine space across four bedrooms with a well-specified kitchen and sea views. Less suited to guests who need to be directly on the beach - the 500-metre walk includes a hill descent, which is less practical with toddlers and beach kit.
