Barley Moo

Barley Moo is a two-bedroom barn conversion at Pollingarrow Farm near St Kew, carved from a 400-year-old corn mill. The barn sleeps four adults across two bedrooms with two bathrooms. No children are accepted - check before booking if you have under-18s in the party. Equipment runs to a dishwasher and washing machine, and the building was double glazed during the conversion, so it works year-round. A narrow unmade lane and gated gravel drive lead to parking for three cars.

The garden is a sizeable enclosed plot with views over open countryside and full seclusion. A 9-hole golf course with driving range and farm shop is one mile away. The St Kew Inn - a 15th-century gastropub - is half a mile down the lane, with the medieval parish church alongside. Wadebridge is 3 miles for the leisure centre, cinema and Camel Trail bike hire. Port Isaac sits 4 miles north, and the Camel Estuary beaches at Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock - plus the Padstow foot ferry - are within a 15-minute drive.

Best for two adult couples wanting a quiet rural base with serious privacy and a good village pub a short walk away. Less good for families with kids (not accepted), or anyone wanting walkable beaches.
