Swallow Barn

Swallow Barn is a converted single-level barn at Great Brightor near St Kew, sleeping 2 with 1 bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor. There is a wood burner inside for cool evenings. Until 5 January 2027 a hot tub can be arranged directly with the owners at extra cost, with fuel provided; it will not be available after that date. Wifi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine are all included.

St Kew is a quiet rural village with a 15th-century church and a pub. The setting is inland farmland rather than coastal, which keeps rates lower than comparable properties in Port Isaac or Rock. That said, the north-coast beaches are reachable by car in under 20 minutes.

Port Gaverne beach is 3.9 miles north - a small, sheltered cove tucked beside Port Isaac with calm water and a car park at the top. Port Isaac itself is around 4.3 miles, with its tight lanes, harbour, and cluster of restaurants. Wadebridge is about 3.7 miles south, giving access to the Camel Trail - 12 miles of flat, traffic-free cycling that follows the estuary to Padstow.

Suits couples after a quiet rural base with a wood burner, particularly in the shoulder seasons when the trail and coast path are less crowded. Less good for those who want a beach or harbour on the doorstep. Infants under 2 are not permitted. Friday changeover. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking.
