Beechwood

Beechwood is a four-bedroom cottage for eight in a rural hamlet near Bodmin, with Blisland as the nearest village. Two king-size rooms are joined by a twin, plus a twin zip-and-link room that can become a super-king on request, so the beds flex to fit couples, a family or a mixed group. There are no bunk beds. Two bathrooms serve the group.

The hamlet setting sits close to Bodmin Moor and the Camel Trail, which runs flat and mostly traffic-free from Bodmin to Padstow for cycling or walking. A wood burner, garden and BBQ give the cottage places to gather outdoors and in. WiFi, parking and a dishwasher are included, and up to two dogs can stay. There is no washing machine, so this suits a shorter stay more than a fortnight.

Port Gaverne Beach is 7.3 miles away, Tregardock Beach is 7.6 miles away and Bossiney Cove is 10.3 miles from the cottage, so the coast means a drive rather than a short walk. Bodmin Moor's Brown Willy and Rough Tor, and Bodmin town's jail and heritage railway, are all within easy reach for a day out.

**Best for:** Eight guests wanting two king rooms, flexible twin or super-king sleeping, a wood burner, garden and easy access to Bodmin Moor.

**Less good for:** Guests needing more than two bathrooms, on-site laundry, step-free access, EV charging or beaches within walking distance.
