Birch House

Birch House is a two-bedroom holiday house within Presingoll Barns, a converted farmstead just outside St Agnes village on the north Cornish coast, sleeping four across two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The ground floor holds a king bedroom with en-suite; the first floor has a twin room alongside the open-plan living and kitchen space.

The first-floor sitting room has a wood-burning stove and a private balcony with open countryside views. Two parking spaces, a BBQ, and a garden are included. Dogs are welcome and the farmstead setting gives them space to roam. If you need WiFi, check with the owners before you book.

Trevaunance Cove is 1.3 miles from the barns - a small sand-and-shingle cove at the foot of St Agnes, used by local surfers year-round. Trevellas Cove is 1.6 miles further. The South West Coast Path runs between Chapel Porth and Wheal Coates within a mile of Presingoll, crossing a stretch of tin-mining landscape with well-preserved engine houses. Perranporth beach is 3.9 miles to the south - a long exposed strand worth the drive for surf or a wide-beach day.

Best for dog-owning couples or small families wanting countryside privacy within walking distance of a working surfers' cove. Less good for groups larger than four.
