Blue Horizons

Blue Horizons is a first-floor apartment in Cornwallis Apartments, on Headland Road in Carbis Bay, looking across the bay to St Ives. It sleeps four. Both bedrooms are at the rear: a king with an en-suite bath and walk-in shower, and a twin with its own TV. A separate shower room has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail.

The sitting and dining areas share the sea view, and glass patio doors from the dining area open on to a seaward-facing balcony with a table and two chairs. A table with six chairs stands inside. The kitchen sits centrally off the hallway, with an electric double oven, four-ring gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, washer/dryer and dishwasher. There is a TV with DVD player, a Bose Bluetooth speaker and WiFi.

Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, and a cot and highchair are provided; guests bring their own cot bedding. Gas central heating covers the apartment. Parking is off-road and gated, for one car, and the apartment is reached from it by a lift or a flight of stairs. The lift should not be relied on alone, since you use the stairs if it is out of action.

Guests can use the communal gardens, which have furniture and lead to the South West Coast Path and the beach. Shop, pub and beach are all 0.3 miles away. It suits a couple or a young family, and is less good for anyone with a dog, as pets are not allowed. Smoking is also not permitted.
