Callisto

Callisto is a Scandinavian-style lodge within a private woodland estate of 36 acres near Crackington Haven on north Cornwall’s dramatic Atlantic coast, sleeping 2 in 1 four-poster king-size bedroom. The setting is rural and sheltered - a contrast to the exposed 400-foot cliffs just minutes away.

Inside, the open-plan lounge and kitchen has a boho-chic mid-century feel, with an outdoor seating terrace to the front. The lodge has Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a BBQ. On-site facilities include a shared games room with pool, air hockey and darts, plus a guest car park with EV charging. Dogs are welcome.

Millook Beach is about 2 miles away, and Crackington Haven beach - a dramatic sand-and-shingle cove below 400-foot cliffs with powerful surf - is 3.5 miles from the lodge. The South West Coast Path section between Crackington Haven and Bude crosses High Cliff at 731 feet, the highest sheer cliff in Cornwall. Bude is 8 miles north for shops, the tidal sea pool and surf schools. Boscastle is 5 miles south along the coast.

**Best for:** Couples after a rural, woodland retreat with easy access to some of Cornwall’s wildest coastal walking - ideal off-season when the coast path is quieter. **Less good for:** Those wanting a beachfront property or families needing more than 1 bedroom.
