A beach cafe operates in season. The beach is one of the larger sand stretches on the south Cornwall coast and avoids the summer overcrowding of better-known spots further west.

Prussia Cove, a series of small rocky coves used historically by smugglers and now a popular snorkelling and kayaking spot, is 1.1 miles along the coast path. Porthcew and Rinsey Cove are 1.3 miles. Porthleven, with its working harbour and several well-regarded restaurants and a surf break at Porthleven Sands, is roughly 3 miles to the east. Helston, the nearest market town with a full range of shops, is about 4 miles inland. Ferdi's Indoor Play in Helston gives families with young children a wet-weather option.

Suits families or mixed groups who want a beach-focused base on the south coast with surf access and easy driving distance to Porthleven. Less good for guests who want a wider range of indoor amenities. Friday changeover.
