Church Lane House

Church Lane House is a six-bedroom house on a private no-through road in Daymer Bay, sleeping 12 across six en-suite or well-served bedrooms. At 200 metres from Daymer Bay beach - the Camel Estuary’s sheltered, shallow-water family beach - it is one of the closest-to-sand larger group properties on the north Cornwall coast.

The ground floor has three separate living areas: a corner-sofa snug alongside the kitchen, a TV room, and a main lounge with a glass ceiling, full-height windows, and an open fire. The kitchen and dining table are sized for 12, with a central island for informal meals and a formal table for sit-down dinners. A utility room and office complete the ground floor alongside two bedrooms: a king with en-suite and a bunk room. Upstairs, the master has an emperor bed, dressing room, balcony, en-suite shower room, and mezzanine with a freestanding bath. Three twin rooms (two en-suite) and a shared shower room complete the first floor. Six bathrooms in total means no queuing. No hot tub - but the open fire, BBQ, and enclosed lawn cover the social bases outdoors. Parking for four cars, but dogs are not accepted.

Polzeath Beach is about a mile north - RNLI-patrolled in summer, with surf hire and consistent Atlantic breaks. St Enodoc Golf Club, a renowned links course, sits between the house and the shore. Rock village, 2 miles south, has water sports hire and the Rock to Padstow ferry.

Best for large families or two-family groups who want a house set up for communal living, close to a safe beach. Less good for anyone seeking a remote rural retreat - this is a well-connected estuary village, busy in peak season.
