Downalong is a six-bedroom house in Trebetherick, set in a private position on the north Cornwall coast between Daymer Bay and Greenaway. The cottage sleeps 12 across six bedrooms and four bathrooms, with accessible facilities throughout - ground-floor access and adaptations for mobility needs. Inside, the house has an open-plan living and dining area, a full kitchen with dishwasher, and a separate utility room with washing machine. Greenaway Beach is 500m away - a sheltered cove with rock pools at low tide and no cafe, which keeps it quieter than the main beaches even in peak August weeks. Daymer Bay is 600m in the other direction, a wide sandy estuary beach popular with families and paddleboarders. Rock is roughly 2 miles by road, with the sailing club, Mariners Rock restaurant, and the passenger water taxi across to Padstow. The Saints' Way long-distance footpath begins just inland from here.

Best for large families or accessible-travel groups wanting a North Cornwall base with easy beach access. Less good for those wanting a hot tub, dogs, or sea views from the property - none of those are on offer here.
