Chynance

Chynance is a first-floor apartment in the Porthcurno valley, 200m from one of Cornwall's most photographed beaches. The property sleeps six in three bedrooms.

The kitchen is well specified with an electric fan oven, induction hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, wine cooler, and coffee machine. A utility room has a washing machine and ironing facilities. The sitting area has a wood burning stove, TV, and a selection of books and board games. Three bedrooms - one king, one double, one twin - are served by a bathroom with bath and shower, plus a separate shower room with walk-in shower. A Cornish cream tea is provided on arrival.

A southwest-facing front garden has furniture and a BBQ. Off-road parking is available for two cars. Tennis courts and a children's playground are nearby.

Porthcurno Beach (200m) is a white-sand cove framed by granite cliffs, with turquoise water and RNLI lifeguards in summer. Porthchapel Beach (800m) is smaller and quieter, reached by a steep path. The Minack Theatre - Rowena Cade's open-air amphitheatre carved into the cliff - is within walking distance, as is the Telegraph Museum marking the 1870s submarine cable landing point. The coast path from here leads west to Logan Rock at Treen or east toward Lamorna Cove. Penzance is 9 miles away by road.

Best for two families sharing three bedrooms, 200 metres from Porthcurno's white sand beach. Less good for groups arriving in more than two cars - off-road parking covers two vehicles only.
