Cliffside

Cliffside is a three-bedroom cottage on the north Cornwall coast near Tintagel, positioned on the clifftop with sea views from the garden and 300 metres from Trebarwith Strand's sandy beach and beach pub. It sleeps 5 and takes Saturday changeovers.

Three bedrooms cover a range of configurations: a super king-size zip/link room, a king-size double with en-suite walk-in shower, and a single with pull-out bed. The sitting room has an open fire for cooler evenings, and the separate kitchen is equipped with a Nespresso machine, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. Sky TV, Netflix, and WiFi round things out for wet days. Two bathrooms serve the 5 guests.

Outside, the garden faces the sea and has furniture for outdoor sitting - the clifftop position means the views are there whenever the weather allows. Parking is roadside, 50 yards from the door. Tregardock Beach is 1.5 miles south - a remote sandy cove accessed by a steep 15-minute descent, unlifeguarded and known for powerful surf. Bossiney Cove is 2 miles north, reachable only at low tide.

Tintagel village is a short walk, with English Heritage castle ruins spanning a headland crossed by a 2019 footbridge above a 58-metre gorge. Merlin's Cave sits below the castle at beach level, and St Nectan's Glen - a 60-foot waterfall dropping through a rock hole - is within a mile of the cottage.

**Best for:** Groups of 5 wanting coast-path access and genuine clifftop position on the north Cornwall coast; King Arthur fans with time to explore the castle and surrounding valleys. **Less good for:** Families with young children who need a flat site; anyone requiring EV charging or a hot tub.
