The Round House

The Round House is a stone cottage in Bossiney, less than half a mile from Bossiney Cove - a secluded sandy beach accessible only at low tide on Cornwall's north coast. The property sleeps 5 across 3 bedrooms, with sea views from the cottage and a garden with BBQ. Dogs are not accepted.

Tintagel village is roughly a mile away, with Tintagel Castle (English Heritage, £14.80 adults) on the headland above the sea - the footbridge spanning the 58-metre gorge to the castle was opened in 2019. The Old Post Office on Fore Street is a 14th-century National Trust property within the village. Rocky Valley, with its rock-carved labyrinths thought to be over 3,000 years old, is reachable from the Bossiney car park on a 1.8-mile circular path. Boscastle harbour is about 4 miles along the coast path north, and Trebarwith Strand is a short drive south.

**Best for:** Families or small groups wanting a north Cornwall base with sea views, beach access at low tide, and the Arthurian heritage trail on foot.

**Less good for:** Groups needing more than 1 bathroom, or guests wanting reliable sandy beach access regardless of the tide - Bossiney Cove is tide-dependent.
