Cove Cottage

Cove Cottage is a single-storey property at Porthgwarra, a tiny hamlet near the western tip of the Penwith peninsula, about 3 miles south-west of St Buryan. The cottage sleeps 4 in two bedrooms and sits on a cove known for the tunnel carved through its headland rock by local fishermen.

The layout is open-plan, with a kitchen, dining area, and sitting area arranged around a woodburning stove. The super king-size bedroom has an en-suite with bath, basin, and heated towel rail. The twin bedroom shares a separate shower room with walk-in shower. The kitchen includes a half-size dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and a Nespresso machine. Netflix is available on the Smart TV.

Outside, the garden has furniture and there is off-road parking for one car with additional estate parking. Porthgwarra Beach - a rocky cove used for snorkelling and rock pooling - sits at the doorstep, while Porthchapel Beach, a sandy cove below the Minack Theatre, is 0.6 miles along the coast path.

This is one of the quieter corners of far west Cornwall. The nearest pub is about 3 miles away in St Buryan, and Penzance is roughly 9 miles east. The coast path east reaches Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre in about 2 miles. A complimentary hamper of local and homemade produce is provided on arrival.

**Best for:** a couple or small family wanting a rocky snorkelling cove right at the doorstep and a quiet far-west setting. **Less good for:** guests travelling with a dog - the property does not accept pets.
