Daffodil Hut

Daffodil Hut is a one-bedroom shepherd's hut near Launceston for two guests, set within 2 acres of woodland, daffodils and wild flowers on the edge of the Trebursye estate. A double bed and one bathroom keep the hut couple-sized, with walking routes leading directly from the door.

Inside, the hut keeps to simple self-catering rather than a full kitchen setup. It has a sofa, a TV, a pull-out table and chairs and a compact kitchen, and the bathroom has an electric shower. Outside are two balconies and a woodland path to a seating area by a stream. A large hot tub, fire pit and barbecue sit outside, along with parking, and dogs are welcome, so a pet can join the walks from the door.

Launceston, Cornwall's historic county town, is the nearest town, with its Norman castle, market square and independent shops. Bodmin Moor is close by for walking, and the north coast beaches need a drive: Millook Beach is 12.7 miles away, Crackington Haven Beach is 13.1 miles and Widemouth Bay 13.2 miles. **Best for:** a couple wanting a private hot tub, fire pit and woodland setting within reach of Bodmin Moor. **Less good for:** guests wanting a nearby beach, laundry facilities or a full kitchen.
