Dene Court

Dene Court is a four-bedroom house for eight guests in Mawgan Porth, a sheltered north-coast village between Newquay and Padstow. All four bedrooms have double beds, which suits couples well but offers no twin or bunk option for children, and two bathrooms serve the eight guests.

The house is set among trees with a terrace, garden and built-in barbecue for outdoor meals. Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and washing machine are included, and one dog can stay. With parking provided and the beach only 600 metres away, the car can stay put for the day, and the one dog the house accepts can walk down too.

Mawgan Porth beach is 600 metres away, a level walk from the house to the village's Sunday Times award-winning sand. Bedruthan Steps is 0.9 miles and Watergate Bay is 2.2 miles, both a short drive along the coast road. The South West Coast Path passes through the village, with surf schools and rock pools at low tide, and Newquay is around 5 miles south-west.

**Best for:** families or couples wanting four double rooms, a terrace, a built-in barbecue and Mawgan Porth beach 600 metres away. **Less good for:** guests needing twin beds, more than two bathrooms or step-free access.
