Dipper is a two-bedroom dog-friendly cottage in the hamlet of Trenale, half a mile from Tintagel village on the north Cornwall coast. Part of a small group of converted cottages, it sleeps three and comes with private parking. Prices start from £769 per week, with Saturday changeovers.

The cottage sits along a quiet country lane with direct access to walking routes, including Rocky Valley - a 1.8-mile circuit past ruined mills and rock-carved labyrinths thought to be over 3,000 years old. The coast path is within reach on foot, connecting to St Nectan’s Glen and its 60-foot waterfall (£10 adult entry, 1-mile woodland walk from the car park).

Bossiney Cove is the nearest beach at 0.8 miles - a sheltered cove reached by a steep path down the cliffs. Tregardock Beach is 3 miles along the coast. Tintagel Castle (English Heritage, £14.80 adults) spans the headland via a footbridge opened in 2019, and Merlin’s Cave below the castle is free to access at low tide.
