Dolor Cottage

Dolor Cottage is a three-bedroom, dog-friendly cottage in Coverack, a fishing village on the eastern coast of the Lizard. The property sits about 200 yards from the harbour and has sea views from all three south-facing bedrooms. A wood-burning stove and open fire add warmth to cooler months.

The ground floor has slate floors throughout, with a sitting room centred on the wood burner and a Smart TV with Sky. The kitchen includes an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, and Nespresso machine, with a farmhouse table in the dining area. A shower room completes this level. Upstairs, two bedrooms have double beds and the third has twin beds. The main bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and a family bathroom has a bath, separate shower cubicle, and basin. Three bathrooms in total serve the house.

Outside, a garage doubles as a games room with a football table and extra fridge/freezer. Steps lead up to a terrace with a bistro table, telescope, and sea views towards Falmouth. The garden has a BBQ and off-road parking is available. Coverack Beach - a sand-and-shingle beach good for swimming, snorkelling, and kayaking - is 300 metres away. Porthoustock Beach, with its old quarry ruins and access to the Manacles dive site, is 2.7 miles along the coast.

Coverack has a relaxed pace, with the Paris Hotel and a few cafes facing the harbour. The coast path south to Cadgwith runs about 4 miles through serpentine rock formations. Helston is roughly 10 miles north for larger shops.
