Duporth Lodge

Duporth Lodge is a three-bedroom coastal lodge at Duporth, near Charlestown on St Austell Bay, sleeping six. The property welcomes dogs, is built as accessible accommodation, and includes parking with EV charging on-site.

Three bedrooms share two bathrooms. An open fire anchors the living area, and the kitchen runs to dishwasher and washing machine. Wi-Fi is throughout. The private garden has space to sit out.

The South West Coast Path runs directly through the Duporth site. Charlestown is about a mile along it - a preserved Georgian harbour still used as a working port and a regular TV and film location, most recently for Poldark. The Shipwreck Treasure Museum sits on the quay, and pubs and cafes cluster around the harbour. Porthpean, a small sandy cove, is the nearest swimming beach just south of Charlestown.

The Eden Project at Bodelva is about 15 minutes by car, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are around 20 minutes south. Fowey and Mevagissey are both within easy reach along the coast. Prices start from GBP 763 per week.

Best for dog-owning families wanting coast path access and day trip options across south Cornwall. Less good for those who want a sandy beach right on the doorstep.
